Claims Risk Analyst
The Claims Risk Analyst provides operational and analytical support to the workers’ compensation and general liability programs at Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. (“BBI”), with primary responsibility supporting the workers’ compensation function and Return-to-Work coordination.
Under the direction of the Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Manager, this role assists in claims data reporting across both workers’ compensation and general liability programs, OSHA recordkeeping administration, documentation management, and regulatory reporting support. The position also provides support to the General Liability Early Resolution Program and assists with documentation related to third-party property damage claims.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Workers’ Compensation Program Support
- Assist with administration and tracking of the Return-to-Work program, including monitoring modified duty placements, duration, and related metrics.
- Support OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements, including maintaining OSHA logs and preparing documentation for review and submission.
- Assist with Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reporting and related compliance documentation.
- Compile materials and supporting data for quarterly claim reviews.
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation within Origami RMIS and other claims systems.
Reporting & Data Management
- Run and distribute standard and ad hoc analytical reports from Origami RMIS as directed, supporting both Workers’ Compensation and General Liability programs.
- Prepare recurring reports on claim activity, trends, OSHA metrics, and Return-to-Work performance.
- Assist in identifying basic claim trends, such as injury types, frequency by location, or loss drivers.
- Support data accuracy and integrity within the claims management system.
General Liability & Property Claim Support
- Provide support to the General Liability Early Resolution Program.
- Assist with documentation intake and tracking for third-party property damage claims.
- Coordinate collection of invoices, estimates, photographs, and related claim documentation for submission to the appropriate claims professionals.
- Escalate claim matters requiring evaluation or negotiation to the appropriate adjuster or TPA.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Support Operations and Risk teams by reinforcing incident reporting procedures.
- Provide guidance to field teams regarding documentation expectations and reporting processes.
- Support special projects and additional reporting needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in claims administration, insurance operations, risk management, or data/reporting support roles.
Skills
- Proficiency in Origami RMIS or similar claims management systems preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including report generation and basic data analysis
- Strong organizational and documentation management skills
- Ability to interpret and summarize claims data clearly
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of workers’ compensation and general liability concepts preferred
