Compensation Manager

We are seeking an analytical, data-driven Compensation Manager to oversee our corporate compensation programs. This role is ideal for a specialist with strong foundational knowledge and exposure to executive compensation who is ready to step up and grow into a full management position. You will lead the design, implementation, and administration of competitive base pay, variable pay, and equity programs, while managing a small team and receiving mentorship to master executive-level total rewards.


This position is based in our Tampa Restaurant Support Center and will work a hybrid schedule (mix of onsite and remote).



Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Directly supervise, mentor, and develop Compensation Analyst.
  • Review and approve analyst work, including market pricing and job evaluations.
  • Delegate compensation projects and manage workflow timelines for the team.


Compensation Strategy & Administration

  • Manage base pay structures, corporate merit cycles, and promotion processes.
  • Conduct annual market pricing to ensure competitive external positioning.
  • Oversee salary survey participation and analyze industry data trends.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with FLSA, pay equity laws, and local regulations.


Executive Compensation Support

  • Assist with the preparation of Board of Directors Compensation Committee materials.
  • Support the administration of equity plans, including options, RSUs, or performance shares.
  • Analyze peer group proxy data to benchmark executive pay and short-term incentives.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams on annual proxy statement disclosures.


Analytics & Reporting

  • Build complex financial models to forecast the cost of proposed compensation plan changes.
  • Develop dashboards and metrics to track the effectiveness of total rewards programs.
  • Conduct deep-dive pay equity analyses to identify and resolve systemic gaps.



Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related required.
  • Master’s degree, and CEP or CCP preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate compensation administration.
  • Direct exposure to executive compensation components or equity plan administration.
  • Restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit public company experience is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced Excel skills and complex data modeling experience (Alteryx) or similar.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate raw numbers into strategic insights.
  • High emotional intelligence to handle confidential executive and financial data with discretion.
  • Growth mindset and eagerness to scale skills quickly into full ownership of executive programs.
  • Deadline oriented with mindfulness of internal and external reporting requirements and competing priorities.
