HR Business Partner, Outback Steakhouse!

The HR Business Partner for Outback Steakhouse is a key thought partner role based in our Tampa Restaurant Support Center. The HR Business Partner is a strategic advisor supporting MVP markets and some RSC functions in Outback, to align people strategies with organizational goals. They provide strategic and hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle, including talent attraction, training and development, performance management, succession planning, engagement and retention, and organizational enablement—ensuring alignment with business goals and leadership needs across multiple units. By leveraging data insights and business acumen, the role drives continuous improvement, retention strategies, and leadership coaching to enhance team effectiveness and support multi-unit leaders in achieving operational success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Provide guidance and support with centers of excellence in areas including but not limited to workforce management, compensation planning, recruiting process, engagement, performance management, organizational and talent development, and general HR inquiries.

• Manage projects/initiatives for People programs, launch, training, execution and follow up, including workforce processes such as talent review, development planning, performance appraisals, etc.

• Assists the HR Concept Lead to develop, define, and execute the talent strategy as part of the overall business plan.

• Guides conflict resolution, employee grievances and employee relations support in partnership with Bloomin’ Brands Legal department to ensure compliance with policies and ethical practices championing fairness, DEI and well-being

• Analyze cross functional trends and data in addition to providing value added recommendations for improvement

• Supports overall organizational efforts to ensure all practices and policies meet legal and regulatory standards.

• Assists in the design, planning and implementation of Human Resources programs and policies to support continuous improvement.

• Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the business and provides creative solutions to HR issues to maximize success of the business.

• Assists with retention strategies to support culture and reduce turnover.

• Coaches' business leaders on team effectiveness, communication, and talent development.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, required.

• HR Certification (such as SHRM-CP) strongly preferred.

Experience/Skills:

• 3+ years of progressively responsible HR experience is required.

• Strong experience handling an assortment of employee relations situations required.

• Proven ability to support multi-unit leaders in navigating sensitive workplace issues with consistency, compliance, and sound judgment, required.

• Demonstrated operational HR experience in a restaurant or retail environment, preferred.

• Collaborative and self-aware communicator with a proven ability to build trust, adapt communication styles to diverse audiences, and foster inclusive, high-performing teams across multiple leadership levels.

• Ability to support restaurant operational questions during evenings/weekends and able to travel up to 20% is required.
