Procurement Manager, Restaurant Equipment
The Procurement Manager, Restaurant Equipment will be responsible for leading Equipment and BOH (back of the house) categories and supplier management activities (transactional and executional functions) as well as the implementation of the procurement strategy across multiple areas of spend.
This role includes, but is not limited to: reviewing proposals, supplier selection and management, commodity analysis, invoice review and approval, budget assembly and reconciliation, project management/coordination, evaluating price trends, KPI analysis, new product development and sourcing. This is a hands-on role with limited supervision requiring initiative and drive. The Manager must possess broad, relevant business knowledge and be able to prioritize competing initiatives from an unbiased perspective. This individual must be able to communicate effectively and appropriately, as well as collaborate across all levels of the enterprise as required.
This role is based in our Tampa Restaurant Support Center and will work a hybrid schedule once new hire training is completed.
Responsibilities:
- Build, lead, and support strategic relationships with Equipment and other various BOH manufacturers/suppliers, installers and internal/external business partners/clients.
- Lead category management process through negotiation and contract execution, KPI development and review, and ongoing supplier management. Lead testing, tracking, and implementation process for R&D and Operations on various projects.
- Lead new restaurant, renovation and roll out special projects involving Supply Chain managed goods.
- Participate in strategic sourcing process through identification of opportunities, business case development and RFx process management.
- Analyzes financial, industry and internal forecasts for products and materials and anticipates changes in cost, availability, and suitability of goods and services. Identify secondary sources for multiple equipment categories.
- Manage operational, distributor and supplier-related issues as well as various other requests as required (sourcing, product information, etc.).
- Provide various reporting and analytics as required (i.e. inventory, spend profile, etc.).
- Network effectively within the industry; study industry publications, trade journals and market information to keep current on relevant changes in procurement and the food service industry.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Design, Construction, Operations/Training, and R&D
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Cooking Equipment, Stainless Fabrication, Refrigeration categories, and global procurement principles
- International experience with the ability to develop market segmentation
- Proven strategic program management
- Experience with FF&E and working knowledge related to construction/design process preferred
- Experience supporting new restaurant openings and/or remodels
- Applied analytics and process improvement
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to quickly learn and utilize various software platforms.
- Four-year college degree or equivalent years of industry experience in foodservice preferred
